About Us
Hi, I am Scott Szarejko, I have lived in WNY all of my Life and have enjoyed much of what it has to offer. I started Design Builders of WNY in 1997; growing up working with extended family in the construction business I have always seemed drawn in this direction. After receiving my Business degree, I realized that I did not want to sit in an office behind a desk all day long. Thus I continued on to earn my Construction Technology degree and moved forward in the Construction Industry. During my College years I supported myself mainly by Specializing in Roofing projects throughout the summers. To date I have been in the construction business for over 20 yrs. I have been active in the community; I have been a member of the Youngstown Vol. Fire Company from 1991 – Present, along w/ being a Past Catholic Youth Advisor & Director for the Immaculate Conception CYO (Youth Group).
How We Work
Taking You Through Your Project
You need to be comfortable with the company you trust your largest investment with – your home. Your project must be done with thorough planning and accurate estimating. You need to protect yourself by having complete confidence in the work and the company that does it. At Design Builders of WNY, Inc. we will work hard to earn your trust and confidence and we begin by making sure you understand the remodeling process.
Initial Stages of the Project:
- Initial Phone interview, discussing the proposed project
- Schedule an appointment at your home. We discuss the project and proposed ideas and costs
- If a design is needed, a fee for the design will be given
- We will do a preliminary design, present it and change the design as needed
- After all ideas are discussed and drawings accepted (if needed) the estimate is given.
- If the estimate is accepted, a complete contract is written w/ detailed specifications, a deposit is given, permits will be pulled if necessary, and a tentative project start date is set.
We Listen
Some people remodel for more space, some people for a higher quality of life and some to just give better curb appeal. Regardless of your reason for remodeling, our goal is to fulfill dreams and enhance lifestyles by delivering solutions to your project. Who Does the Work?
This question gets asked all of the time; we have our own in-house carpenters that are the main backbone of the company. However, we do not claim to be the Master of all Trades. When it comes to specialized Mechanics, we use our specialty contractors. We have surrounded ourselves w/ some of the best Specialty Contractors in the area who have the same belief as we do, “Do it right the first time”.
Your House is Your Home
We also try to be consistently mindful of the fact that our worksite is also your home, so we clean up at the end of each day and we strive to make the work area as non-disruptive to your household as possible.
